Graham House is an ideal choice of registered lodging house, located just three minutes' walk from the heart of St Helier and its banking and finance centres. The property offers 28 comfortably furnished, studio-type units of accommodation, suitable for single people and couples. The amenities, however, are not considered appropriate for children or pets.
All the studio flats are recently refurbished and include bathroom, kitchenette (with microwave, two electric rings, fridge etc), independently controlled electric heating, door entry phone, personal lockable mailbox, satellite TV connections for Portuguese, Polish, Romanian, UK Sky and Freeview ( with own equipment and subscriptions ) and free WiFi access to the Internet and telephone point. Graham House does NOT provide bed linen, towels, crockery or kitchen utensils, TVs, satellite decoders or phone instruments. There is a token-operated residents' laundry and a cycle park for your convenience. Some car-parking space is also available, if required, at extra charge. There is a permanent resident caretaker and the property is also protected by a closed-circuit TV system.
Each studio is a dual-purpose room for both living and sleeping. There is no SEPARATE bedroom. All bathrooms contain a shower, wash-basin and toilet and most of them also have a bath as well as a shower. Some of the kitchenettes are in a separate room attached to the studio, whilst others form an integral part of the studio.
Room charges, for single studio accommodation, start from £135 per person per week and, for double studio accommodation from £165 per couple per week. These charges, which include the hot water supply but not the electricity, are payable MONTHLY in advance, with a month's notice of intended departure required. Electricity is separately metered and charged at 19p per unit.
Graham House keeps a waiting list but it is recommended that reservations should be requested two to four weeks prior to intended arrival. All prospective residents must be fully employed in the Island and a completed accommodation application form (including confirmation of employment) is required in advance of arrival. The MINIMUM deposit, payable on booking, is £450 (single) and £550 (double). Stays of 3 months or less must be fully paid for in advance. Similar accommodation (under associate management) is occasionally available at the SARUM HOTEL in St Helier.
